The Hon Andrew Robb AO

CHAIRMAN

Until his retirement from politics, Andrew Robb was Australia’s Minister for Trade and Investment. Mr Robb negotiated Free Trade Agreements with South Korea, Japan and China, as well as the 12 country Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) free trade agreement and the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Singapore. 

In 2003, Mr Robb was awarded the office of the Order of Australia (AO) for his service to agriculture, politics and the community.

James O'Loughlin

Founding Partner

James O’Loughlin is the former CEO of the Australian Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai (Austcham). James has a unique position from which to observe and advise on Australian commercial activity in China and led the Chamber through a period of unprecedented growth placing the membership and profile second only to the US Chamber in China. Prior to his time in China, James launched Indesign Magazine and developed it into the leading design and architectural publication in Australia.

James has a Bachelor of Business majoring in Marketing from the Queensland Institute of Technology (now known as Queensland University of Technology) and has studied at Jiao Tong University Shanghai.

Patrick Stringer

Founding Partner

Patrick Stringer has worked and lived in Asia for more than 20 years. A qualified engineer he has held senior level B2B and B2C sales, marketing and operational roles some of the world’s household names including Volvo, Qantas, and BAE Systems, where he has held full P&L responsibility at national and divisional level as well as board level appointments in Australia and Asia. Patrick possesses a rare blend of blue chip commercial and public sector expertise having also served with distinction as a senior Diplomat for the Australian Federal Government in Vietnam and as Commissioner for the Victorian Government to China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Mongolia and South Korea. Patrick holds a Master of Business Administration (Distinction) from RMIT University. 

Patrick has advised hundreds of companies on Asia/Australia trade and investment links and has been recognised formally by the Government of Vietnam and in China for his significant contributions to bi-lateral trade relations.

He was at the forefront of the Victorian Governments’ Asia engagement strategy, directly responsible for leading Victoria’s largest overseas trade and investment office network in Greater China.

Christin Wu

Associate Partner

Christin started her career in investment and management consulting, managing the office of a boutique consulting firm before it was acquired by Ernst & Young. An experienced business owner and operator in China's health and fitness industry, Christin launched and operated China's first cafe specialising in sports nutrition, and at the same time establishing an international sports snack brand's presence in China.

Christin is a respected and well known leader in China's wellness industry with an extensive network and reach.  She is a brand ambassador of several fitness labels in China.

Alistair McGregor

Practise Lead ASEAN

Alistair has lived and worked in Asia for more than 25 years having held senior operational and business development  roles with Fortune 500 and CAC 40 companies in the manufacturing and environmental sectors including Veolia and Dover Corporation. He is experienced in offshoring and re-shoring operations as well as global sourcing.   A British national Alistair has particular expertise in the China, India and the Middle East  markets and holds Permanent Residence status in both Hong Kong and India.
